Philly Girl

I gotta admit... I'm super pumped about moving to Philadelphia. I never in a million years thought Id say or think that but its true. We spent all day Saturday meandering around the city and its a cool little city! We really fell in love with the Northern Liberties neighborhood. Very artsy, very neiborhood'ish, great places to live, rad apartments/lofts and it had a skeleton drawn near where we're hoping to live...

I can't figure out how to rotate this stupid picture. tilt head, please. :)

Anyways, we're happy and send us positive vibes that we get the place we want. Its MASSIVE and we're paying the same as we did here in the DC area. SCORE! I could do like 15 cartwheels from wall to wall in this place. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Have a great weekend, boys and girls! I'll be in Philly looking for shelter. Wish us luck that we find a 2000+sqft place with a backyard, awesome skyline views and is brand new for under $1800 or FREE! OK, that won't happen, but a cool place would be very much appreciated.

this makes me want a TMNT mani, NOW!
Also, the new CAKE album is pretty awesome.

I'm Mean

The other week my buddy Tom and I decided to go get the deliciousness of korean BBQ at Honey Pig in Annandale, VA. Did you know that Annandale has the third highest population of koreans outside of Korea after NYC and Los Angeles? Yeah, neither did I, now you do. ANYWAYS, I decided that all his ex-girlfriends needed to come too in form of posters and sticks. They came out at different times and he couldn't be more mad and embarrassed. I thought it was awesome.

Tom with his girls.

oh, Adam Lambert was just for fun. He's not an ex.

oh, hi

Sooooooo, I decided to come back to the blogging world.

hi. :)

and HI, SHANNON! Thanks for the push!

Whats been going on with me? wellllllllllllllllllll, I'm getting married in 4 months, I'm moving in 2 weeks to Philadelphia and I'm EXPECTING! (a puppy) this year. haha!

Fi (fiance) and I just got back from Scottsdale, AZ visiting his family and let me tell you how amazing the warm sun felt. i wasn't bundled up like the little brother on A Christmas Story and I think I actually got a little sunburn on my face. A SUNBURN! Ahhhhh, the powers of the west coast in the winter. But now, I'm back on the east coast freezing and stressing over where the hell to move in Philadelphia. Why Philly you ask? Well... because Fi got a great job offer there and I've never lived there before... so... in true CarrieandScott fashion, we're up and moving. Again. :) This will be the second big move in a year. Los Angeles to Virginia to Philadelphia. Where's NEXT?!

I love a good adventure and that is why I decided to blog again. You can experience the new Carriedelphia with me.

Here's a pic of Fi and I in Zona.

If anyone has any suggetions about places in Philly... PLEASE SHARE!

Oktoberfest

We rode our beach cruisers through the city to partake in the Shirlington Oktoberfest! Thank god we got there early because by the time we left it was a mad house and most of the tasting kegs were kicked. We sampled about 5 each or so and then sat in the warm sun and had a great afternoon. We then biked to Crystal City and then home... I was literally dying. Beach Cruisers uphill aren't awesome. Beach cruisers on the beach are really awesome :) But, it was a great afternoon and we crashed hard that night. (oh and I literally fell off my bike, it was hilarious! I haven't done that since a kid and falling off a bike really puts you back into place, so funny!)

Happy Monday, Fools! We are sleeping all week until we get up and go to AUSTIN on Friday! YIPPEEEEE!
As most of you know I have been dealing with a stupid stomach issue that has put me in the hospital a few times and really messes up happiness and my social life! Well, I finally was approved to start a therapy where I get infusions. The infusions are of medicine that infuses my entire bloodstream and it takes about 3 hours a sitting, in which eventually I'll slow it down to about one three hour session every eight weeks (forever). Thing is... I FEEL AMAZING! I feel like a lucky girl!

Here's a small picture of me and my new favorite chair! Anyone have any good books to recommend?
