Packing with Mack

Hi!
We're heading to San Francisco this evening for Thanksgiving! Mack is going to miss me sooooooooo much (and I will miss him) but, I have my sister looking after him. She will undoubtedly over-feed him and spoil him rotten. I'm kinda OK with that. :) I'm looking forward to heading back to the west coast. I haven't been back in about 2 years! I'll be sure to take lots and lots of pictures of our time out there. After packing, I realize I wear nothing but black. Damn you NYC!!

We're also listening to Gary Clark Jr's "Give it Up Now

Beautiful NYC Day

I had a great morning today just walking around NYC.

I took the L to the F and then walked down 5th Ave to try to find an outfit for Thanksgiving. We are headed to San Francisco tomorrow for the holiday -- can't wait!

Not sure I scored on the outfit, but, it was such a stunning day out, I was happy to enjoy the sites. I even had my loveboat (yes, that's what I call him) surprise me walking around. I love seeing him, so I was happy to walk around a bit with him. The Christmas decorations are being set up in NYC, I will photograph them next week to show you. But, for now, here are some pics from my afternoon stroll.

Not sure how I left this little crazy eyed psycho.

last few days of fall here in Brooklyn

subway'ing on off hours is kinda relaxing. Check out that empty staircase... I took my time and wasn't rushed, it was lovely.

random brooklyn house up the street. Ive seen a lot of bands take photos in front of this.

Its officially the holidays. Chestnuts were roasting on 5th Ave.
I rushed home to see this little monster who REFUSED to walk.

A Brooklyn Craft Fair

The un-impressed Mack is pissed it's Monday too.

This weekend I went to the Renegade Craft Fair here in Williamsburg Brooklyn. It was actually really well put together and the artists were great! I ended up getting a couple things for family for Christmas and also a great print for our apartment. I also stared at these deserts below for a good 20 minutes before finally forcing myself to leave with out any. Seriously difficult.

i have lived in everyone of those cities

my two favorite men.

Brooklyn is embracing a lot of chalk recently.

Furry Heart Band-aide

Meet Mack Attack

He has helped mend our hearts after the loss of our daughter three weeks ago. In a time where I never thought I would naturally smile again, this little bugger has made it happen. My mom bought him for us and we are in love. He's just so FUNNY looking and has a personality to match. He is also very mellow and loves to just chill on the couch as well -- SCORE!

Its funny how a little furry face can warm your heart.
I'm sorry if I post a million pictures of him now.
You're just gonna have to deal with it. :)
Mack Attack is part rabbit, frog, dog, pig, stoner and freak. Perfect combo for a Kirbo pet.

HATS! HATS! HATS!

I LOOOOOOVE wearing hats... it is my most favorite part of fall and winter. I have an entire basket full of them and even huzbo loves wearing a beanie from time to time. Although, I tend to get mad when he borrows mine because he stretches them out!

Here are some of my favorites from my basket

Here are some of the ones that I LOVE from the internet not yet in my basket:

See any out there that I missed or need?

Oh NYC!

You like to keep things interesting with the weather don't you?

Last week the awful Hurricane and now a blizzard!

Thanks for keeping me distracted.

Hard Read

(It happened. It's part of our lives and while we're heart broken, WE are not broken.)

39 week sonogram peek before she was to be born in two days.
We arrived at the Dr's office full of excitment and awaiting details.
Things changed.
We were told, "I'm Sorry".
No Heartbeat.

No reason. Heart. Breaking.

We quietly gathered our things and received hugs from strangers.
Not comprehending.
We sat in a daze while Dr's tried to speak to us.
No comprehending.
Numb.

A cab drove us to the hospital.
Nurses surrounded us with sad looks and took us to our room.
Our families were called. Our families showed up. Our families were in shock.
I delivered her normally two days later.
The room was silent when we finished.

I was glowing seeing her, even though she was not breathing.

She was gorgeous, everything I ever wanted and the best thing ive ever done.
7 pounds 13oz, 21 inches of perfection.
They say cord, but, we may never know.
We love her, we miss her, we yearn for her... we will not forget her.

Dylan Mae Kirby.

We're meant to be parents and a family.  We are not discouraged to try again. We made one perfect little girl, we're determined to do it again.

Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts through this very sad time. We feel it.
