Phoenix, Arizona

Saturday we decided to go for a hike at camelback mountain to see the incredible urban sights that overlook downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. The mountain is said to resemble a resting camel but frankly, it just looks like a big mountain. i will say that the hike is amazing in its vistas and crazy inclines that requires help from a handle to help you up in some stretches!

Trail Length: 1.2 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,264 feet
Summit: 2,704 feet
Difficulty: Strenuous
Open: Sunrise to sunset

as always, some pics...

then on the drive we saw a car on fire on the side of the road. thank god no one was in it and thank god we passed it at the time we did... they were about to shut down the entire road. pretty sweet pics though huh?

Today (Sunday) we are resting and taking it easy and then tomorrow we are heading to Sedona, AZ.

i miss you, but im going back home to the east coast...

so i changed the lyrics to the coconut records song in the title, but it suits me more, so deal with it. :) Soooooo, we left.
I had tears and a stomach in knots because i will miss my amazing friends ive made in LA but thank god for planes, email and facebook because i know i will keep in touch with all of them. AND, we have a wedding coming up this year (no, we have no date yet) so we will see each other no matter what. But, here is California's snow capped mountains in my rear view on the 10 east...

our first stop on our journey east was the General Patton Museum in Indio, California. We were the youngest people there by like 100 years but it was nice to get out and stretch our legs and climb on some tanks. Check it out...

then, when we made it to Scott's parent house in Scottsdale, AZ we saw the most incredible rainbow i have ever seen in my life. Rainbows are good luck, so that gave me a big. BIG. smile.

last supper in LA

for our "last supper" we decided to do Korean BBQ with some of our favorites at Manna in Culver City. we ate tons of food but the main reason we went was to celebrate Scott's birthday one more time. How do they celebrate? look...

two bottles of champagne sprayed all over his head... i almost peed my pants i was laughing so hard and when it was all said and done Scott said, "that was awesome!"

and here's the group of us...

Hi, I'm Carrie

Hi, I'm Scott

Here's our story...

We're a newly engaged couple and we quit our jobs and decided to move East from Sunny LA. Are we crazy? Maybe! We're ok with that because we are in love and we want to see, do and experience it all.

our mission...

we're going to drive cross country and let you experience it with us. We're going to take pictures of the weird stuff we see on the way and we're going to let you know what the hell we are doing. why? Because our friends want to stalk us. :)

LOVE YOU!

sooo, 123... GO!

(i already miss my LA friends... )
