I did a Throw Back Thursday last week with this gem.

Riding back from DC to NYC for work.

Awesome dinner spot in Brooklyn. Madonna went there earlier this month.

Friday Tunes

This week, I have currently listened to this song every day multiple times. I cannot wait to hear her new full album in late June and will pray she comes to Brooklyn. (Let the video buffer awhile before playing. It tends to get stuck.) Welcome Mr. Little Jeans to your ears.

Mistaken For Strangers

My sister is in LOVE with The National. I really like them too, except for that one time at 930 Club in DC where two teenagers slow danced and made out the entire time in front of us. The Philly show though... that was AWESOME! Not to mention the other DC shows, NYC shows and Austin, TX one. Yes, I've accompanied her quite a lot on her obsession. I too, am a fan of theirs, just not "cry" wise. Love you, sis.
With that said, I'm sure I'll be seeing this film out this week at the Tribeca Film Fest. I wont lie, I think it looks VERY interesting. I love watching the dynamic of siblings. ESPECIALLY when one is famous and the other is not.

This is my favorite The National song: Mr. November.

Friday Tunes

Just because I'm still super happy from my Karen O show last weekend, Friday tunes are from her last CD.

Enjoy and have a GREAT WEEKEND!

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, YAY!

Kirbo and I went to the record release party for the Yeah Yeah Yeah's new album on Sunday night.

Karen O is every bit as magnificent as ever. Her vocals are on point, the new songs are energizing to say the least and her outfit... Bad ass. She is probably my favorite female front woman of all time.

This is the third time I have seen the lovely YYY's. The first time was a Pimlico in Baltiless for the 1st year of Virgin Fest. My jaw dropped because I was immediately in love with her. Her stage presence was out of control debauchee. I so wish I was her jumping around on stage, laughing, singing my heart out and having a blast. (I do that most Saturday nights with alcohol, but, people aren't paying to see more or wanting to witness it. Dammit). Second time was at the Greek theater in LA... wasn't their best show. And, now... Webster Hall in NYC in a small place packed to the walls, jumping, dancing and loving every second. Thank you, Karen O for reminding me why I love music so much.

she wore a yellow suit with a sequins cape and a head wrap. At one point she sang with a miners light on her head.

This might be my favorite viral internet craze yet!

Dogs wearing panty hose. I can't wait to do this to Mack.
So disturbing!

5 Pointz

This weekend my 16 year old nephew, Tyler, came to visit from Florida. We decided to take the little (actually, he's not so little... he's way taller than me) skater rat to 5 Pointz "graffiti mecca" in Long Island City. It really is one of the coolest places we've seen in the city. A little about the place...

5Pointz Aerosol Art Center, Inc. is an outdoor art exhibit space in Long Island City, New York, considered to be the world’s premiere “graffiti Mecca,” where aerosol artists from around the globe paint colorful pieces on the walls of a 200,000-square-foot factory building. - 5pointz website ( you can read more here).

Friday Tunes

OMG. I took my dog in to get fixed today. I'm a nervous wreck! I know I'm ridiculous, but, this dog is my little baby! I'll be fine. :)

In the meantime, I'm going to be listening to some Lorde. She's a new artist out of NZ and I really like her style. She sounds a little like Regina Spektor, which is not a bad thing at all.

Have a great weekend, friends! You deserve it!

You know who deserves the MOST BESTEST WEEKEND IN THE WORLD THOUGH!? My dear friend, Tom Saunders. Tom, has provided the last two "Friday Tunes" for your listening pleasure. He really is a keen guy with a finger on the awesome music pulse.

-- this was a paid endorsement of Tom Saunders, paid for by Tom Saunders. It really wasn't paid though, it was just a threat that he wanted some G.D. credit that really was owed. Thanks, Tom. You da bees knees.

It was Easter Weekend

And we did a lot.

Just another weekend of Kirby

Most wear pastel colors on Easter. We wear camo and canoe.

What do you do when its wet and you have an amazing steep hill? Mud sled.

Absolutely LOVE my parents place down south.

Easter Baskets and egg hunts.

Mack was in heaven in the country with no leash or boundaries. I think he's depressed being back in Brooklyn now. Poor guy!

I made Easter nests out of melted chocolate and potato stix! The eggs are jellybeans.

Opening Day at Nats Stadium in DC.

This little guy LOVED it and Harpers two back to back homeruns.
