Useful Beard

http://www.fastcodesign.com/3026543/a-designer-shaves-his-beard-into-every-letter-of-the-alphabet#1

Designer Michael Allen spent nearly two years shaving his facial hair into every letter of the alphabet. The result is Alphabeard Beardface, a typeface made from high contrast photos of his facial hair.

I of course, think this is AWESOME!
(might be a little upset my huzbo and I didn't think of it first)

Weekend WrapUp

Oh, It's Monday again... it just sneaks up on you, huh?

So, while its here and the sun is shining, I'm going to be OK with it. Maybe just this once. :)

So, this weekend was a lot of walks since it was WARM and absolutely gorgeous out. We made our way to Tanglewood Park which is located near us in a town called Clemmons. Its a gorgeous park filled with walking paths, backpacking, horse trail riding and mountain biking.

I work from home now and I'm trying to get used to the quiet of it all. I'm that person that does not love to work from home. I prefer to be around people and having someone to talk to. With that said, we've been working on my "office" and its nearly finished. I will have to share maybe next week. In the meantime, here's a picture of that little pup that HATES when I sit behind my desk. He'd rather me hold him or play with him. He sure is CUTE though.

I woke up this morning with THIS on my desk from the Huzbo. Isn't that the BEST surprise ever? Winston Salem is the home of the original Krispy Kreme and it's headquarters is here too. When that red light is on (Hot Donuts Ready), its hard to keep driving past, but, 9 times out of 10 we do. I guess Kirbo couldn't resist today! And, just so you know... it was SOOOOO good.

Have a great day, friends.

Friday Tunes

Angel Olsen: "Hi-Five"

I'm loving the old sound of Angel Olsen's "Hi-Five". The quote from Pitchfork summarizes it perfectly with, "has got to be one of the most cheerful songs ever written about being lonely."

Hope you enjoy.

Happy Friday, friends!

Weekend WrapUp

Happy Monday!

This weekend we were pummeled with snow... really. I think in total we got close to 15 inches. In a town 1. it NEVER snows and 2. they maybe own two snow plows, this was a massive story. I loved every second of it though! Just look at that pretty snow!

Scott shoveling off our back deck.

I wish we had sleds for our backyard.

Mack is NOT a fan of cold weather or snow. He stayed covered under blankets most of the weekend.

Not US! we built a huge snowman (or creepy snow creature) to make all our neighbors think that those new people sure are odd.

Me and a snow angel making Scott.

So, with all the snow almost melted, we are looking to have it be 70 here by the end of the week. Sweet Carolina, your weather sure has been interesting.

Happy Valentines Day!

OK, now that we got that salutation out of the way, lets really celebrate what today is...
FRIDAY!
YES!

I picked out a good jam for you to listen to... HAERTS. Kinda goes with the V-day theme. Kinda. Maybe. Deal with it.

HAERTS
All The Days

So, we have about 12 inches of snow down here, which is super unheard of in the south. Its pretty much equivalent to 18feet in the northern states only because we have no infrastructure for this kind of snow... at. all. A plow, what's that?

Its been fun though. We met alllllll our neighbors, which was wonderful. Seems like we lucked out in that department.

People may have been so nice also because we currently have not heat or hot water. Let me tell you have fun THAT is. Oh well, we'll have it back on by Monday and maybe get a hotel on Saturday to shower. :)

So, here's to an awesome weekend of watching HOUSE OF CARDS while wrapped up in at least 3 comforters.

xoxo,
C

Let's Talk About...

Some TV.

This winter I've watched a lot of TV. Like, a lot. Oh well, its cold or rainy and there's not much to do here, so TV works for entertainment until the weather warms.

Have you seen True Detective? Holy sh*t! It's incredible. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are incredible drama series on HBO. I encourage you to watch it, its one of the best shows I've ever seen.

What about Black List? If not... check that out too.

Girls. Yes, yes, I know that some of you hate that show, but, this season is WAY better. Maybe its because Hannah is growing up a bit more and Adam is not such a spaz.

Vanderpump Rules. My guilty pleasure and I LOVE it. There really isn't a better reality show on Bravo in my opinion and Stassi is the best. The season just ended and the reunions are showing this week and next, but, if you can catch a marathon, I highly suggest curling up on the couch and entertaining yourself with a few laughs.

Any other shows that I should be watching? I think we have at least another month of cold weather down here in the south!

I Moved Again!

ALEXA, IM POSTING! :)

Ok, OK, OK, so I have been terrible with posting for the past two weeks. I will offer no excuses as what I did was deplorable! HAH! I will offer this though, I moved AGAIN! I know, we are borderline psycho's, but, this time it was in within the same area. We decided that if we were going to leave all our coolness behind in the big, bright cities for the slow countryside, we should move to a house. Truthfully, renting a house is was the same price as the apartment we lived in.

So, here are a few pics of our new abode. Its massive, to us, considering we were living in 600sqft above a busy road for nearly two years in Brooklyn. Its funny to have so much space! We don't know what to do with ourselves.

With that said, here are some pics of the finished rooms. :)

and this right here is our cow pasture, I mean, backyard. Its ridiculous and Mack LOOOOOVES running like a free animal out there.
