Arcade Fire and Spoon

On Friday Scottie and crossed state lines and ventured north into Maryland to see my all time favorite band of all time... Arcade Fire.

just a little excited in the above picture, huh?

To put it mildly, they were incredible. There were about 8 people on stage at all times and every one of them were engulfed in the instrument they were playing. in my little opinion, this is the band of our generation. a U2 if you will. They inspire, they are lyric driven and they are all so musically driven. They are not publicity crazy, the write music they want to listen to and it seems that everyone else does too. Their most recent record, Suburbs is fantastic but not my favorite. Id have to say that Funeral takes the cake still. Arcade Fire played all their hits as well as their new songs and the energy the crowd had and the harmony of the instruments and the audience was chilling. I still get goose bumps watching the movie memories in my head. It was a night to remember in my life. If you aren't an Arcade Fire fan yet, I strongly recommend jumping on the wagon... its a great little ride.

one of the best parts of the evening was that the lead singer of Spoon was standing directly behind us with his cute little son on his shoulders jamming with us. so awesome.
