Will ALWAYS be pretty in pink

This weekend my parents and Scottie's parents were together in southern Virginia for the holiday. While we had them both in one spot, we decided to take advantage of that and plant a pink dogwood tree at my parents lake house in memory of my sweet little Dylan Mae. I chose a pink dogwood because its such a delicate but strong tree and the pink blossoms remind me of her cheeks, and, not to mention that EVERYTHING I bought for her was that pale pink. It was definitely her color.

We spread some of her ashes in the dirt and had a little moment for her. She is now associated with beauty and life with this tree and we can always enjoy it and watch it grow. I like that feeling much better than a funeral, which we never had. She is now my little pink blossom and that's exactly how I want to feel and remember.

Here is a picture of a dogwood blossom. Isn't it beautiful?

Lots of love,
C

I love this for many reasons. Your sweet Dylan now has a beautiful tree in a beautiful place that is always filled with love and fun and joy. Also, it makes me think of all the trees that were planted in your parents yard, one for each of you.

What a beautiful tribute Carrie Ann.

Big fatneck hugs. Love you.
