Happy Hump Day
My amazing San Francisco family threw me a bridal shower a couple weeks ago and I sooooooooo wish I could have been there! They seemed to have so much fun and some got to meet me by many pictures before actually seeing me at the wedding. I am so thankful for my future mother in law and sister-in-law for throwing this for me. They asked for a theme and since I LOVE photos they decided the theme would be picture frames. I couldn't have been more thrilled and excited. I finally got around to opening the boxes of presents (haven't been feeling great) but, opening them definitely gave me some well deserved energy and happiness. I LOVED them all! I set all of them up on my window and can't wait to pick out the pictures to put in them. EEEEK! So happy.

me.

footnote: with my love.
Scottie's pops is in town for a conference so I've had him all to myself for the last two days exploring the neighborhood and making him drink good local beer. :)

Here's us at Full Plate. Our favorite. They shared a broccoli salad, Scott got the meat loaf and Big Kev got the shrimp Po'Boy. I enjoyed my water. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

HAHA! I love the expressions. Pennsylvania law does not let you buy a simple 6 or 12 pack of beer at the distributor (and that's the only place close around the corner) so Scott had Kev haul a bottled 24 half way around the neighborhood so they could enjoy some refreshing White Ale. I wanted one so badly!
Few more weeks.
now, this place. Paesano's. Big Kev and I checked it out. We have heard from many a local that it is THE place for sandwiches. No lie... its amazing. He got a goat burger that I literally wanted to scarf down in 1 second flat. When my stomach is back to being nails I will go here and order one of everything. It looked, smelled and presented that great. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, already dreaming about it.
We love having visitors and trying new restaurants out. The weather is warm, the people are out and Philly is finally starting to grow on me more. Life is Good.

Is it just me or does "Extreme Couponing" seem extremely WASTEFUL. Who really needs a "stockpile" that big for years and years? If its really an addiction, still coupon but donate it to a homeless shelter or church (some people do) but come on... do you really need to buy 140 boxes of pasta and 80 candy bars at one time JUST because you can? Give me a break -- and I don't mean a kit kat.

thoughts by carrie.
"How do two people make so much sound?" The inevitable question most people ask when they see The Kills live for the first time. Like ME! I was in awe over their weighty beats and shotgun sound. Lead singer Allison Mosshart is enchanting on stage with her haunting voice and copious (and often audience wanting to mimic) soft headbanging -if that's possible.
I suggest seeing if they come to your town. check out their myspace. Newest album Blood Pressure. Most notable anthem song, "DNA".

In a sentence, I LOVED their show.

the TLA in Philly is a sweet place to see a show too.
A no frills rock house with great sound and no bad place to stand and jam.
Oh and Philly fashion... I love you.
(next time I will take pics of the crowd)
